Abstract
Water management is a big challenge in regions with scarce water resources. Existing methods for monitoring water levels are time-consuming and inefficient. Thus, this paper proposes a sustainable and cost-effective solution for a real-time water level monitoring system for mitigating losses in storage tanks. The proposed system uses various sensors and a microcontroller to measure and transmit real-time data via a user-friendly Blynk application. To ensure uninterrupted operation and minimize environmental impact, the system integrates a solar panel and rechargeable battery, which provides stable power throughout the day and optimizes energy consumption. The performance of the system is evaluated using connectivity, alert triggers, accuracy, and battery life as metrics. Evaluation results show that the proposed system can accurately monitor water levels and further provide access to real-time data. This work aligns with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goal 6: Clean Water and Sanitation. A widespread adoption of this system can enhance water resource management, alleviate water scarcity, and improve overall sustainability
